What's your favorite fic chapter you've written? Why?
Oh tough question... I'll pick my favourite chapters (so far) for my top three Trollhunters multi-chapter fics.
From A Change in a Moment it must be chapter 39. This chapter is where a lot of different from canon stuff happens, in a AU where Strickler is human originally and becomes Trollhunter later. Unbecoming is real here, and he wishes for no one to remember he's a changeling. This has lasting consequences, and it was the most angsty thing I wrote at that time and also the introduction of Douxie for the first time. It was a fun arc to write!
For Heart of Stone I have more than one favourite chapter, but I'll contain it to the chapter that inspired me to write the AU, where Strickler is a full troll and leader of the Gumm-Gumm’s until he's cursed by Merlin to become human until he learns to be selfless and reform basically. This favourite chapter was Chapter 20: Curse The reason being it was when Stricklander finally did his selfless sacrifice for Jim and broke the curse trapping him in human form. And everyone's reactions to him. It was a fun and drama filled chapter lol.
Finally in Challenging Destiny, my biggest fic, set post RoTT, again I have more than one favourite, but I loved Chapter 10: What lurks beneath Its my favourite chapter because its when Barbara finds out again, and its pretty emotional. Barbara gets targeted by changelings and it's up to Jim, Strickler and Angor Rot to save her. There's fighting, angst and a happy reunion. It has everything!

So, about telling you a fic I wish you write a snippet on...
Hope this isn't too self-indulgent on my part, but a snippet of A Change in a moment? Either pre-Trollhunter!Strickler or post.
Listen. I have spent countless hours reimagining some of the scenes from A Change In A Moment. That scene when Strickler and Barbara reunite after she’d been avoiding him during the Unbecoming arc? Uh, yeah. Definitely thought about them not being interrupted and, more importantly, the teasing that results when the trolls (Nomura, mostly) realize what they’re smelling on him 😆
Which leads me to thinking about what was going on in Barb’s head during the time before that - particularly, when she overhears other survivors talking suspiciously about their troll ‘allies’. Because we all know there had to be a ton of rumors and gossip, right? And that made me think that maybe, just maybe, she’s not the only one feeling unexpectedly attracted to her husband’s new form...
"Oh, stop it. They’re not all that bad and you know it.”
Barbara’s ears perk up as Ophelia’s voice filters through the thick canvas of her tent and she sits up on her cot, shifting slightly around to hear what the councilwoman is, undoubtedly, saying about her husband. Her husband the troll. Her husband the lying troll. Her husband the lying troll who, despite it all, she wishes were lying here next to her right now.
“They are demons,” another familiar voice - Michelle, she thinks - insists in a frustrated tone. “One has horns and wings, and the other has cloven feet. And don’t even get me started on the one named after the sound you make when you scream. It’s huge. It could probably swallow me in one bite. I don’t know why you let your grandson hang around them, Nancy.”
“Aaarrrgghh’s a good boy,” Nana Domzalski says. She’s not defensive, just matter-of-fact. “My Toby thinks the world of him. And that poor Stricklander. He seems so sad, always moping about with the Lake boy.”
“Ah, sí! That’s another thing. Why is the demon spending so much time with that child? It’s not right.”
“The boy just lost his father, Michelle.”
Barbara’s face pulls back into a guilty grimace. Shit. They should probably tell their friends about what’s going on, shouldn’t they?
“And, who knows,” Ophelia continues. “Maybe the reason Stricklander likes having Jim around is because his own family didn’t survive the attack. Did you ever think of that?”
“She does have a point.”
“Or, maybe, he’s trying infiltrate our camp,” Michelle says, and Barbara can absolutely picture her hairdresser’s hands flying to her cocked hips. “He’s sure been snooping around Dr. Lake’s tent a lot, hasn’t he?”
“Speaking of which. Is she...”
“Doubtful,” Michelle huffs. “She’s probably still at the med center. Not that I can blame her. I would be drowning myself in work, too, if my husband just - Oh!” There’s a sharp, surprised screech. “What if Stricklander killed Walter?”
Barbara slaps her hand over her mouth to stifle an incredulous snort.
Ophelia, however, does not. “Ay, dios mío. Michelle. Please.”
“No, listen. What if...” She pauses dramatically. “What if Dr. Lake and Stricklander were having an affair before the attacks? What if he used it as an excuse to off her husband? I mean, think about it. She got over her shock a little too quick, didn’t she? And has she even mentioned Walter? Hmmm? Has she? No.”
“I don’t think - “
So, people are going to start thinking she cheated on her husband with her husband. Great.
“He helped her put up her tent, you know? And you’ve seen the way she acts around him. Angry, but like she wants him to wrap those chiseled arms around her and never let go.”
Barbara’s brow quirks.
“Chiseled?”
“I just meant - “
“Oh no, dearie. You’re right,” Nana says, and Barbara can practically hear her smirking. “He’s well built. Lean, but - what do you young folks call it?”
“Ripped,” Michelle supplies, supposedly before she can help it since a small squeak follows immediately after.
“Yes, thank you. Lean, but ripped.” Nana sighs wistfully. “Why, if I were just a few years younger...”
“Nancy!”
But before Michelle can further admonish the older woman, Ophelia cuts in with, “I will admit, those abs are a work of art.”
They are, Barbara can’t help but silently agree. They really, really are.
Nana hums. “Mhmm. And the tattoos.”
“Yes.”
“Ladies, please! He’s green.”
“Green is a very calming color,” Ophelia tells Michelle in a very serious tone. “His accent is hot, too, by the way. And there’s something about those horns that makes me want to just - ”
“You know your son can hear you, right?”
“So? He’s a baby. He doesn’t understand what I’m saying.”
“Then why does he look like he’s about to burst a blood vessel? Ophelia, he’s shaking!”
“It’s gas. It’s always gas with this one.”
“Or, maybe he’s uncomfortable with his mother lusting after a - “
“His clothing leaves very little to the imagination, doesn’t it?” Nana interrupts suddenly and rather loudly, intent upon continuing their conversation regarding Stricklander’s enticing physique. “I’d kill to know what he’s packing under that loincloth.”

Rowling isn't denying holocaust. She just pointed out that burning of transgender health books is a lie as that form of cosmetic surgery didn't exist. But of course you knew that already, didn't you?
I was thinking I'd probably see one of you! You're wrong :) Let's review the history a bit, shall we?
In this case, what we're talking about is the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, or in English, The Institute of Sexology. This Institute was founded and headed by a gay Jewish sexologist named Magnus Hirschfeld. It was founded in July of 1919 as the first sexology research clinic in the world, and was run as a private, non-profit clinic. Hirschfeld and the researchers who worked there would give out consultations, medical advice, and even treatments for free to their poorer clientele, as well as give thousands of lectures and build a unique library full of books on gender, sexuality, and eroticism. Of course, being a gay man, Hirschfeld focused a lot on the gay community and proving that homosexuality was natural and could not be "cured".
Hirschfeld was unique in his time because he believed that nobody's gender was either one or the other. Rather, he contended that everyone is a mixture of both male and female, with every individual having their own unique mix of traits.
This leads into the Institute's work with transgender patients. Hirschfeld was actually the one to coin the term "transsexual" in 1923, though this word didn't become popular phrasing until 30 years later when Harry Benjamin began expanding his research (I'll just be shortening it to trans for this brief overview.) For the Institute, their revolutionary work with gay men eventually began to attract other members of the LGBTA+, including of course trans people.
Contrary to what Anon says, sex reassignment surgery was first tested in 1912. It'd already being used on humans throughout Europe during the 1920's by the time a doctor at the Institute named Ludwig Levy-Lenz began performing it on patients in 1931. Hirschfeld was at first opposed, but he came around quickly because it lowered the rate of suicide among their trans patients. Not only was reassignment performed at the Institute, but both facial feminization and facial masculization surgery were also done.
The Institute employed some of these patients, gave them therapy to help with other issues, even gave some of the mentioned surgeries for free to this who could not afford it! They spoke out on their behalf to the public, even getting Berlin police to help them create "transvestite passes" to allow people to dress however they wanted without the threat of being arrested. They worked together to fight the law, including trying to strike down Paragraph 175, which made it illegal to be homosexual. The picture below is from their holiday party, Magnus Hirschfeld being the gentleman on the right with the fabulous mustache. Many of the other people in this photo are transgender.

[Image ID: A black and white photo of a group of people. Some are smiling at the camera, others have serious expressions. Either way, they all seem to be happy. On the right side, an older gentleman in glasses- Magnus Hirschfeld- is sitting. He has short hair and a bushy mustache. He is resting one hand on the shoulder of the person in front of him. His other hand is being held by a person to his left. Another person to his right is holding his shoulder.]
There was always push back against the Institute, especially from conservatives who saw all of this as a bad thing. But conservatism can't stop progress without destroying it. They weren't willing to go that far for a good while. It all ended in March of 1933, when a new Chancellor was elected. The Nazis did not like homosexuals for several reasons. Chief among them, we break the boundaries of "normal" society. Shortly after the election, on May 6th, the book burnings began. The Jewish, gay, and obviously liberal Magnus Hirschfeld and his library of boundary-breaking literature was one of the very first targets. Thankfully, Hirschfeld was spared by virtue of being in Paris at the time (he would die in 1935, before the Nazis were able to invade France). His library wasn't so lucky.
This famous picture of the book burnings was taken after the Institute of Sexology had been raided. That's their books. Literature on so much about sexuality, eroticism, and gender, yes including their new work on trans people. This is the trans community's Alexandria. We're incredibly lucky that enough of it survived for Harry Benjamin and everyone who came after him was able to build on the Institute's work.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A black and white photo of the May Nazi book burning of the Institute of Sexology's library. A soldier, back facing the camera, is throwing a stack of books into the fire. In the background of the right side, a crowd is watching.]
As the Holocaust went on, the homosexuals of Germany became a targeted group. This did include transgender people, no matter what you say. To deny this reality is Holocaust denial. JK Rowling and everyone else who tries to pretend like this isn't reality is participating in that evil. You're agreeing with the Nazis.
But of course, you knew that already, didn't you?
Edit: Added image IDs. I apologize to those using screen readers for forgetting them. Please reblog this version instead.

Here's to all the burnouts.
I'm not sure what to name this one but it is working well! Another oil lamp. It's a figure about twice the size of the mythology series figures.

DPxDC Idea
Danny working at Wayne Enterprises as some sort of engineer, uses the in-house app for all his blueprints and stuff
He starts getting notes from a coworker in-app, and assumes its this annoying older guy in his department who constantly undermines him because of his age, despite his education and past achievements (i feel like in this AU the Fentons react well to the reveal and they work together on a number of non-lethal ecto inventions that have Danny's name attached to them)
Except one day his coworker mentions never using the app, and Danny suddenly realizes there's only one other TD he could've been arguing with in the notes of the app

Discord really went from 32 unicode characters + 9999 discriminators (32,000 printable unicode so 32,000^32x9999 = actually incalculable on a lot of calculators, essentially infinite) to presumably 32 english alphabet characters, periods and underscores
And at the same time alienated anyone and everyone who doesn't speak a language using a latin alphabet (most languages) - and languages that don't use the english character set (basically all of them) - made stalking easier, removed individuality, and destroyed their actually revolutionary username behavior
...to look like twitter.
EDIT: as pointed out, it would be 32,000^32 (32 characters, 32,000 variations) rather than 32,000 characters with 32 variations. that number is still incalculable by a lot of calculators, but it's a significant difference! here's the actual count (as it's thousands of zeroes less)
146,135,548,716,716,982,791,186,446,423,301,139,135,396,694,972,170,240,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

20 questions for fic writers
I was tagged by @niemalsetwas! Thank you! This is a long one, but very interesting well rounded questions for fic writers. I'll tag: @whitherwanderyouspirit, @toodrasticallydumb, @nickelwick, @bluedaddysgirl, @megan0013 and @rosemaidenvixen. Not obligated to do this, just thought it may be fun!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Currently 16! 13 of which are all Trollhunters lmao.
2. What's your total A03 word count?
542,419 words. Wow. That's a little crazy ngl.
3. What fandom's do you write for?
Mostly Trollhunters/Tales of arcadia. But I've written a oneshot for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and one for Scrooge: A Christmas Carol (2022). And I've done a multichapter fic for Arcane: League of Legends. Probably going to do more fics for that eventually. And I have two planned for The owl house I'm really excited about!
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Challenging Destiny
Heal what has been lost
A change in a moment
Heart of Stone
After the moon rises
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! In my first fic I was hesitant to the first couple of chapters, but now I make a effort as I know how awesome it is to get a reply from the author on fics I've left comments on myself. And also because sometimes I have wonderful conversations!
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
This is a bit hard to pin down, because while a decent amount of my fics go really, really angsty, they tend to end on a slightly hopeful note. But I'd think it's either Through the Veil which while the actual end is rather uplifting, it's overshadowed by the torment all the characters have gone through or chapter 4 of my prompt collection for Stricklake month: corruption. Which is... Sad.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmm well my main fics are not finished so I can't put any of them down... Er most of them end happily? I guess for the top one A change in a moment, since I also barely killed any characters in the end...
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No. Very thankfully.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Anything explicit? No. I've tentively suggested it, but not in any detail.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I have not yet. One of my aforementioned Owl house fics I have planned will be a crossover, with Trollhunters, but nothing crazy.
Unless we're talking about the Arcane/Disney Tangled crossover, but that's a soft crossover, with a wholly Arcane cast of characters.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope. At least not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Again, not to my knowledge.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No... It was going to happen at some point, but then it didn't. Which was fair, even if disappointing.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
It's Stricklake. I have loads more I like a lot, but that's the one that made me start writing fanfiction.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
This isn't really applicable, I plan to finish every fic I start, but there's one that's taking longer than I like to complete, which is Heart of Stone. It's close to the finish line, I just need to push myself there.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I like to think I'm pretty good at creating snappy dialogue with plenty of banter. And that my worldbuilding is pretty damn good. Also that I'm able to consistently keep a large cast of characters IN character and balance them all. I'm also fairly good at descriptions and gore.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I think sometimes I struggle with pacing, and the flow of my writing can be clunky at times. I also find filler chapters less interesting to write, even if they're important to set later things up.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I do end up doing this at one point or another in most of my fics! I use Google translate lol. I'm not ashamed. I also use italics if it's not English, with the translation in my notes at the end.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Trollhunters! The first show to get me into fandom, and fanfic and tumblr! It was the first in a lot of things.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Has to be Challenging Destiny! It's just about halfway, but the reception to it and it's faithfulness to the source, as well as the heaps of research and worldbuilding I've put into it has made it the fic I'm the most proud of. It's got a big cast of different characters to balance, which just adds to the challenge lol. But it's worth it.

Amity Park hates the Justice League but loves Red Hood and sometimes other heroes
A/n: I got this random idea so here it is. Oh, and this is good reveal AU ok?
-------
Due to the Justice League mocking them and ignoring their villain problems that were also publicly interdimensional problems, everyone hates the JL. It got worst with the GIW coming in, who blatantly went against the meta-laws (which included aliens, demons and so much more that weren't human from the beginning). They started to think the Justice League supported them.
In the Infinite Realms, however, there's a revenant that many adored and others respected. He did not hold back against criminals. Criminals that would rape, kill, traffic, sell drugs, and more to people. He especially didn't like when they brought kids into this. He'd avenge people the way they should've been: by promising that their abuser/killer/whatever wouldn't be able to do it again. And in the place they lived in, the only way for that to be possible was by major injury, heavy social outcasting, and/or death. Most prefer the 3rd.
And after how long the Amitians dealt with the attacks which eventually came to a slow once or twice a week type thing, they started opening their minds to the idea of coexistence. Well, further than they had. So when people started to cross over and start making their small haunts in their side of the veil, the Amitian's began to become aware of the popular hero Red Hood. He was part of the undead community, which was trustworthy in everyone's books.
So Amity Park started making merch. Most of it was for Team Phantom, but there was plenty for Red Hood as well. There were other heroes on the side, like for Superboy 1 (who they renamed to Supernova due to their hatred for Superman for 2 reasons, the obvious and that he rejected a mirror-born), and Raven (the half demon).
And with this coexistence, Team Phantom had noticed the positive feedback about killing in the name of vengeance. So they went on the offensive, and after a good year of that, the GIW lost funding for producing no results and just taking up resources. The acts were still there, but nobody enacted them in Amity, and nobody actually knew or believed them outside of the haunted city.
Then the Justice League find out about the hero group there due to tracking merchandise after they started to sell outside of the city. Superman was the guy everyone liked, so he was sent over. He immediately got thrown out and was now questioning who the heck Supernova was and when he rejected him.
Flash? Outcast. Everyone ignored and walked away from him. they had the police, who never did anything or even had to anymore, kick him out.
Green Lanter? Oh the poor guy. He had his ring taken away and thrown out of the city somehow. It took hours to find it.
Wonder Woman, they had to be ok with her. Not at first, but once Phantom had a talk with her and people learned that they were cousins through Clockwork (Kronos) and Pandora, they were ok. ish. Tolerated was the best word and she got the info back to the league.
The batfamily took a trip there, dragging Red Hood along somehow. And right when Red Hood was noticed, a crowd began to form as everyone practically worshipped him. There were many victims he had avenged and an Ancient (Lady Gotham) came and gave him the gifts she couldn't without scaring the guy.
At one point, the poor guy even cried.
